D.I.Y. Basement style.

That one room in your house that you let your husband decorate. The man cave. I left it up to him for two years but his skills need some fine tuning. When he asked me to help move some furniture, I made a deal with him that it was all or nothing. He decided to hand over the reins.

The problem:
He had to have a new tv. The one we currently have just wasn't going to do anymore. But it still works. I knew he had further plans, I could see the wheels turning. And to the basement the "old" TV went. Here's the prob. You don't stick a 60" TV just anywhere. The whole basement was going to need rearranged. But I personally love to rearrange! The feeling I get is pure bliss, because now I have a newly decorated room without spending a dime. Genius.

In the process I got a little crafty and made the guys a chalkboard to keep pool stats on.
A cheap frame I had from our wedding and chalk board paint. Easy peasy.

We bought some furniture before we had our rooms planned out and we had not been utilizing some of the pieces we had gotten at Pier1. It broke my heart. The pieces are so comfy and what a waste of moola. So I was making sure they were front and center. And he has two great walls down there to display all his memorabilia, he just needed guiding as to where to place them! Now it looks like a collage..before, well not to much.

Ah! Finally they are not thrown into spare rooms or of all places MY CLOSET! They replaced a couch that is now ..
On the side of the room that used to be empty! Finally, the basement feels cohesive. Except for the problem still remains..
That is NOT a tv stand. That is a nice table with a slate tile top! I cringe looking at this. But his mind was already made up. I'm currently on target looking for a solution. But this will do for now #men

happy rearranging,
Marbie xo.

P.S. keep checking back for MAN CAVE COOKIES! Take something sweet to your Super Bowl party this year!
