You may be having "Super Bowl hangover". When you over ate, over drank, and stayed up just a little too late. But don't feel guilty, I indulged yesterday too! It's all about moderation, how many times have you heard that?! But it's true! I eat clean 95% of the time, but that other 5% is for days like yesterday. I don't like to call them cheat days, because we are not cheating on our diet because this is clean eating is not a diet.
This is my favorite analogy when it comes to this topic, "Just like one day of healthy eating isn't going to make you thin, one day of indulging isn't going to make you fat". But don't forget that these days are far and few between. I personally find that I enjoy "unclean" foods so much more when I eat them only on occasions too! But when I wake up and feel bloated like I did this morning, it makes me appreciate how good I feel from clean eating! I couldn't have eaten a carb even if I wanted to today. And for me, that
Amakes this process so worthwhile!
After I cleaned up from last nights festivities, I made myself a wake up spinach shake with an extra heaping handful of baby spinach. I had to apologize to my insides somehow for all that foreign food. I also started leafing through my newest magazine, while waiting for the snow plow to clear my road..which never happened so..
I relyed on the 4WD in my black beauty. "Gym rats be like.. Is the gym open ?" haha. It's so true! #guilty I have to also admit I've been a hater when it comes to this winter but today it's just so pretty.
So here I sit on my usual perch (the spin bike) spinning and blogging away.
Check out my next post for the receipe to that pretty bean dip pictured above!
And if your snowed in, today is the perfect day to foodprep for this week!
Stay safe & Drive slow!
Happy Monday peeps,
Marbie xo.
