Onion Pedal & Horseradish Aioli Burger

Conning my husband into watching the cooking channel & food network is always easier when he can stare at big juicy burgers. "You should make that" is his famous line! ..Let me get my magic wand. He wasn't always a fan of horseradish but I was persistent in expanding his pallet! And what do you know.. Someone's asking for a horseradish aioli. After, of course, asking what the heck is aioli. I suppose by definition an aioli is mayo mixed with garlic. This aioli is garlic free but packed with the same punch! Because I'm feeling extra nice today I'm going to also add imy receipe for super delish oven burgers!

What you will need for burger:
1 pound raw hamburger
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs (I use italian)
Dash of Salt & pepper
Dash of garlic salt
Dash of Italian seasoning
Dash of onion flakes

Set oven for 375 and incorporate all the ingredients together in a bowl. This recipe will make 4 quarter pounders! You can easily make smaller burgers if you choose, perhaps sliders?! Spray an oven safe dish with Non stick spray. You can simply use a cup of water, but I prefer a light beer to dump over the burgers to keep them nice and juicy! Pop the dish into the oven.

What you will need for the aioli:
1 cup miracle whip
1-2 spoonfuls of horseradish (depending how bitey you want it)
1-2 drops of A1
1/2 tbls parsley
Simply mix it together. TA DA!

Other things you will want:
Bacon (I used turkey)
BBQ sauce
Red onion
Provolone cheese
Big bun

Meanwhile have turkey bacon cooking either on the stovetop or in the oven! I used one piece but by all means load it up! For your red onion pedals cut it into a square by cutting the rounded parts off! You will make four straight cuts! Seperate the "pedals" and seat them on the stove top with a touch of EVOO! Flip them a few times to soften!

Your burgers will take about 30 minutes in the oven! If you are unsure if they are done cut into the middle of one! I like to sear them on the stove top once they come out of the oven for a minute on each side to get a nice crunch on the outside of the burger! You can also melt your provolone at this point by sticking it on the side of the patty you've already seared! One your cheese has melted you are ready to build your burger! I used a nice helping of the aioli and finished it off with BBQ sauce! It was a success, he loved it! I would also suggest a small handful of spinach too if your hubby likes a burger with lettuce!

Sorry for the lack of pictures! This isn't normally like me! Enjoy your burgers peeps! Happy Hump Day!
