GOOD MORNING WAKE UP SHAKE!

Spinach Smoothies.. I know you've seen them splashed all over Pinterest. You've probably even pinned a receipe or two. Try them out! And definitely add them into your weekly routine! I'm sure I don't need to tell you how good spinach is for your whole body so it's only an added bonus that this shake tastes amazing too! I like this particular shake for the morning because it's simple! It also ends up turning purplish in color, because who wants to drink something lime green in the a.m.? #notthischick 

Recipe: 
1 whole frozen banana
1 cup almond/soy milk
1 cup frozen/fresh berries/fruits
2 handfuls of spinach/kale
1 or 2 spoonfuls of coconut oil
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of flaxseed 
 *you can also add raw honey or agave 
Blend & Enjoy 


Tips:
-I personally like baby spinach. 
-Also, remember to peel your bananas and store them in a bag before tossing them in the freezer!
-You might have leftovers. If you do throw a scoop of protein powder in the blender with the remaining shake and add a little extra milk if needed! TADA you now after a post workout shake ready for when you get home! Store the shake in the fridge and keep it covered with a piece of plastic wrap or my favorite press n seal!
